Dear All,
On the 16th of March the Annual Clothing fair to benefit RFL kicks off at 10am but before it starts there are a few people that deserve recognition for all they have personally put into making this huge event a success.
Just getting the fair to the size it is now and the organization and building involved is a huge achievement.
Firstly and always foremost we have to thank Babe and Eyeing Daligdig of Ohana Land, Dyldam.com and JC Designs without whose bravery and willingness to dream this fair would never have got to where it is.
Next have to be the individual sim sponsors which of course also includes Babe and Eyeing:
Sim 1 Sponsor House of RFyre
Sim 2 Sponsor Maxie McBride & Moxie Polano
Sim 3 Sponsor LaPointe & BastChild Designs
Sim 4 Sponsor Destiny Dreams
Sim 5 Sponsor Ohana Land/Dyldam.com
Sim 6 Sponsor Alexandar Fine Jewelry
Sim 7 Sponsor DeLa
Sim 8 Sponsor JC Designs
Sim 9 Sponsors Bastians and Rosebud Designs
Then the fabulous Team of dreamers and builders who made the visions of the Raiders come true on the 9 themed sims:
- HaroldThe Burrel for his support and Ideas as well as team captain. Harry is the backbone of the raiders and will be overseeing the entertainment during the fair.
- Pips Fetid - although RL called her away, as co-founder of the clothing fair for RFL, her Pirate theme keeps her with us.
- Moxie Polano who provided all the maps and textures and some amazingly creative buildings for the stores as well as having a huge input in the overall design and managing to design one of the 7 one of a kind dresses to be auctioned off as well as lead the building project.
- Indra Jun for her help setting up the sims.
- SarinaJane Loon and the Timeless Agency for planning the Fashion Shows.
- Viscount Menatep for getting us the incredible ships that are the highlight of the fair and building the sponsor stores on every sim.
- Synergy Devonshire who has been instrumental in helping raise awareness and get people involved in gathering treasure hunt prizes.
- Dana Vanmoer for her terraforming and help with the landscaping and of course press coverage in sl-newspaper.com (look out for more interviews from designers and sponsors).
The following designers for their incredibly recreations of the 7 deadly sins dresses:
Raven Pennyfeather
Moxie Polano
Paul Lapointe
Swaffette Firefly
Wiccan Sojourner
Nicky Ree
Lemania Indigo
Bidding will start for these one of a kind gowns when the fair begins on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 10:00 am SLT and will close at 6:00 pm SLT on Sunday, March 22, 2009. Winners will be announced at 8:00 pm SLT on the 22nd to bid the fair adieu.
There will be a total of 4 fashion shows by SerinaJane Loon and Timeless agency with all the models chomping at the bit to take part in this amazing event - you can even see some of the RFL dedicated designs being modelled on their blog : http://timelessagency.blogspot.com/ Thank you to all of you!
During the fair there will be countless live bands and DJs and we have to thank all of them for giving their time and energy!
The biggest part of this fair are the designers themselves who have gone to huge lengths to give of their time and effort to make this the biggest fashion event of the year for a worthwhile cause and we would just like to thank each and every one of you for being here and doing your part to save lives and give us all hope.
The theme for this year's Relay campaign is One World, One Hope... it's about embracing our diversity and coming together for a common cause.. and our prayer is...as people work this year on Relay... that they remember this is not about them...but something much bigger than they will ever be.
Thank you all for all you have done and all you are about to do!
Nevar and Amethyst
