Thank you for 4 amazing years

Dear Designers and Supporters of the Clothing Fair;

The Clothing Fair has been the most successful fundraiser in SL history and has raised a total of 14 million L$ ( over 50,000 USD) over the last 4 RFL seasons. This is because of hundreds of committed people...from designers to shoppers and builders to entertainment. It is a shining example of what can be accomplished when a community gathers together for a common goal. For this, we are forever grateful for your time, commitment and generosity.

In everyone's life there are times when they have to sit back and re-evaluate the changes in life and priorities... accomplishments and failures. And although the Clothing Fair has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives, it is time now to step away and focus on health issues, RL commitments and our lives together.

We will be closing any groups involved with this event in 7 days. We will send out another notice in case this first one is missed to give everyone a chance to leave before we close it for good.

Again we thank you all for your love and support and for allowing us to share with you one of life's greatest rewards...making a difference and changing lives. Now it is our sincerest hope that everyone involved will remember that Relay is about something so much larger than ALL of us and at the end of the day it's how you live your life and leave a legacy.

SF Designs - 6 Years in SL !!!!

WOW!


That is what comes to mind first when I sit and think how special it is to be one of the longest running businesses in Second Life today. I am one of the fortunate ones who has had the opportunity to get to know Swaffette and Jamir over the past 4 and 1/2 years I have worked on the Fashion For Life event ( Clothing Fair of SL ).

I look through my inventory and see all the outfits I have from my favorite designers. There is a folder called SF Designs. One of only a few that had to have its own folder due to the amount of outfits in there. Every outfit is amazing and made with love . Still this day i wear my first pair of Leather pants that got in Second Life because they came from SF Designs.

I can continue to go on about how amazing this store is but its not just the store. The People who work at SF Designs. The models, the customer service people, Swaffy and Jamir are all amazing and it is because of them that this store is still striving 6 years after opening the door for the first time !

Congratulations to you all at SF Designs... I can not wait for another year of friendship, outfits , love and working with you ! You are a huge part of our heart

Entres Mares

I'm privileged to show you 2 stunning new gowns from Entre Mares...Iliana and Trisha.

Iliana is a sassy and sophiticated gown suitable for everything from cocktail party to a night out on the town. I love the detailing on the roses and the layering of the skirt...very feminine. The teal color is quite flattering on every skin tone.

Below is Trisha. This is a seductive gown featuring a full length lace body suit with a full flowing skirt. This would be a beautiful evening or stylish wedding gown for those ladies that would like to add some sizzle to thier special day.

Peacock Queen

When I first saw the ad for this gown I knew I had to own it. This is Peacock Queen...the newest release from My Precious. As with her last gown, for me, she has captured the mystique and glamour of the golden era of stage and screen. I could easily imagine Audrey Hepburn or Lauren Bacall walking the red carpet commanding the attention of everyone around.

The classic black dress with the long waist is very flattering and the addition of the peacock accents make it different and classy. The matching hat comes with and without veil to suit your mood. The hemline gives a peek of leg in front and finishing to the floor in the back completing the elegant line of this gown. I'm looking forward to many wearings of this work of art.

If you haven't been there yet you really should pop over and take a look at everything My Precious has to offer. I guarantee you will find something you can't live without.

Vivienne by My Precious

Today I'm very pleased to be able to bring you My Precious' newest release Vivienne. This breathtaking gown in snowy lace and satin will make you feel like a dream when you're in it. It reminded me of Vivien Leigh at the height of her career...mysterious and stunningly beautiful. The bodice allows enough of your skin to peek through to be alluring and coupled with the deep cut skirt, it makes for a enticing and sophisticated look.

House of RFyre

Well, Nev and I are still going through the "after Relay" inventory search and we found a couple of things from our friend Raven Pennyfeather that we had to mention here. For anyone not familiar with RFyre, Raven creates highly detailed gothic, medieval and couture designs using hand drawn textures and fine attention to detail. When we're looking for event wear, RFyre is at the top of the list of stops. She also makes a mean roast beef...*grins*

Today we'd like to highlight 3 of her latest releases...Clan, Tainted Love and the Boudoir.

Clan is a beautiful Scottish formal set in the red and black tartan pictured here or in white and black. This can be worn with a couple of different options so you can make it truly your own look.

Here we have Tainted Love..hot and sexy glam goth. I love the textures and different options available to style it for any occasion. It's available in black, indigo and red.

Finally, the just released RFyre Boudoir. This one is the Barbed Blood Red and there are several other sets available. Perfect for your darker, sensual side.

Fashion For Life

As many are aware, Nevar and I made some major changes to the structure and format of the clothing fair this past year. Because the changes were so successful, after much discussion and soul searching, we've partnered with the American Cancer Society to bring to Second Life Relay for Life's newest For Life event..."Fashion For Life".

What does this mean for you, the shopper? It means we will continue to bring all the wonderful designers and styles you've come to expect. We will work hard to keep bringing together the best builders, artists and content creators to give you one of the best shopping experiences in Second Life. Oh and you'll see some different signage. *grins*

We are thrilled and honored to now be a part of the For Life events in Second Life and we hope to continue for many years to contribute to the fight against cancer. Someday, we will find a cure...and until then...we Relay!

Avrele Designs

On Sunday I ran into one of my dear friends Avrele Guisse and as we were talking she was excitedly telling me about her last 2 releases, which unfortunately I'd missed while being wrapped up in the end of the Relay season. She graciously passed them to me and I ran home to try them on...as any good fashionista would. *grins*

This gorgeous red one below is called Necromonger. It's a beautiful gown made of rich crimson velvet with the black lace accents and gloved and finished with the long spine ornament in the back. The thing I really like and admire about Avrele is the fabric textures, they seem to come alive. This gown has a couple of different options...no spine ornament, removable side train...so you can customize as you desire. It also comes in black and plum.

And next is Christine. This is a wedding ensemble, again with a few options to make it truly your own. I love the detail on the dress....the pearl and jewel accents, the fine lace and the unique veil. Remove the veil and lace skirts and you have the perfect evening gown. Oh and underneath all this is a scrumptious lingerie set to round out the details.

Narcisse by Agnes Finney

OMG...these are the words Nev used when he saw this gown. Agnes Finney's newest release is one of the sexiest and most provacative gowns I've seen and had the pleasure of wearing for quite some time. Narcisse is a daring gown and will stand out in any crowd. The fine lace and sheer dress comes with a couple of different options from long to short with varying degrees of modesty so anyone can enjoy it. If you were looking for the perfect "little black dress"...this is definitely it.



Don't forget Agnes also has this beautiful and feminine gown below in the Platinum Hunt. So while you're over picking up Narcisse be sure to look for that little box as well. You definitely can't go wrong with either of these.

Platinum Hunt Begins tomorrow!

I had an opportunity to preview some of the great items you'll see during the Platinum Hunt. Beginning August 8th and running through the 30th, this one looks to be very exciting. 100 of SL's best designers have been hand picked to participate and for a mere 10L each you can get some awesome looks. Each of the gifts in this hunt are worth far more than that. You're looking for a little jewelry box with a pearl inside and the hunt items are not so well hidden you'll need an army to find them. The hunt will start at the ISPACHI main store.

Mimmi by Bliss Couture and Alienbear's Designs

Whenever I have the privledge of blogging the extraordinary designers that participate in the Clothing Fair every year I jump on the chance and this pairing of creative minds is no exception. Alienbear Gupta of Alienbear's Designs and Amutey Decuir of Bliss Couture worked together on a beautiful pairing of a highly detailed and exquisite gown with the intricate and stunning jewelry set named after Miss Bliss Couture 2010, Mimmi Boa.

Anyone who knows me is aware I love purple...as if my name couldn't tell you...and silver is a very close second so this was a perfect ensemble for me. I'm including 1 full length shot of this outfit as well as a couple of close ups so you can see for yourself the fine attention to detail.

This first shot shows the magnificent crown coupled with one of the 4 sets of earrings and 2 necklaces included with the set paired with the finely detailed lace top of the rich purple gown.

The second shot shows the daring plunge of the back of the gown ending with the ruffled bow cradling the rear view of one of the 3 belly chains. This is sure to turn heads at any soiree and perhaps finally catch the eye of that handsome man you've been watching from afar.

Clothing Fair Gown!!!

This year's Clothing Fair in March produced a very very special gown . Even today i get IM's about where can i get that gown in the poster you used for the Clothing Fair.

Well, This is the last weekend of Relay for Life fundraising and we have pulled out the gown for one last showing. For anyone who did not get the gown and would like to have a copy of this beautiful dress created by Kimmera Madison of Tres Beau, IT IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY. This amazing gown will be retired after the Relay for Life event is over.

Today is your last chance to come over to the Clothing Fair sims and get those last few outfits you might have missed. We've also taken all the treasure hunt items and placed them in vendors on the center sim and for a 250L donation, you'll receive all 17 items.

Make sure you get all your photos into the contest we have going .. one male and one female winner this year and we have some amazing shots already ...

Goal: Mix and Match the exclusive items available from the RFL-kiosks during RFL Clothing Fair to create a composite style.
Each Item must be purchased from the fair.
The look must include items from at least 3 different designers.
The person must add on the description of the photo the reference of store name and item name for each RFL-item that comprise the final look, so other people can buy them if they wish have the same look.
Theme must be considered in each photo - Theme this year is " Fashion Cities of the World"

Clothing Fair is Rockin'

Its been a great start to the week so far. The Clothing Fair is off to a grand start and we have hit the 2 million lindens raises (9000 USD). Lots still going on and today we have a full day of DJ's with a very very special fashion show this evening. Get to the show here.

Tonight's show starts at 5pm slt and we feature the clothing from the RIO sim. so hope everyone can come out and join us . Also don't forget the Photo Contest and the Treasure hunt. We also have an amazing raffle going on at the lightening video booth on the main sim .
